P.J. PACIFICO
Singer-songwriter P.J. Pacifico delivers a confident, upbeat collection of road-tested rock/pop music. He has a radio-friendly sound that evokes Gin Blossoms and Matthew Sweet, and a storyteller’s cadence that has been compared to James Taylor.

Friday June 24 Music By The Spadtastics and The Kind Buds

SPADTASTICS
The Spadtastics band formed in 2006. The band consists of many members of past local Darien bands (Milc, Nick the Fin and Magic Garden). The name “Spadtastics” comes from the late Darien resident and former band leader, David Spadacinni who was the inspiration for this new band. The band covers the popular music of the Grateful Dead which songs were a fixture back in our DHS/College days. Due to family schedules and professions, the band only plays a concert once-a-year.

THE KIND BUDS
The Kind Buds, New England’s Premier jam duo, take their audiences on a roller coaster of tension and release, trading fiery-sweet guitar licks with raucous, wide-open acoustic jams and stunning guitar interplay. Tight vocal harmonies compliment and complete their polished sound.

Sam Cutler, former Tour Manager of the Rolling Stones & Grateful Dead had this to say about The Kind Buds, “My earliest memories of music I loved were of the Everly Brothers ~ The Kind Buds remind me of them, a fabulous combination of wonderful vocals & hot guitar-playing. The Kind Buds have got it all, if I were younger I would manage them in a flat minute.”

Friday July 1 Music By Chasing Day

Chasing Day is comprised of Michael Penfield and Frank Piazza, who live in Darien, CT and have recorded with Members of Jethro Tull, Chicago, Steely Dan, Lady Gaga, Doobie Brothers, Three Dog Night and others. Their sound is Aspen meets Nashville with acoustic guitars and harmonies. Chasing Day has released one album of original music and plays a blend of original music and covers from Jason Aldean, Counting Crows, Zac Brown, Grateful Dead, Traffic, Blake Shelton, and many others! They are working on their second album now!

Friday July 8 Music By Harry Bergen & Twisted Resistor

Harry Bergen and Twisted Resistor is celebrating its 25th year as a band dedicated to the music of the 60’s such as Van Morrison, the Doors, the Stones and, of course, the Beatles. The band has won the IPC Battle of the Bands competition in 2008, 2009 and 2010 playing at the Grammercy Theatre and the Filmore East. The band promises to delight audiences of all ages and especially, children of the sixties!

Friday July 15 Music By Mars Project

The Mars Project consists of Mike Marble Hammerin’ those drums, bassist Angel Rissoff beltin’ out the blues and guitarman John “Ratso” Gerardi Strummin’ and singing. You don’t want to miss the out of this world sound of this awesome trio of seasoned professionals.

Friday July 22 Music By Adam Ezra

The Adam Ezra Group (AEG) is not just a band; they are a force to be reckoned with musically, personally and socially. Selling records and tickets is important to AEG, but they are committed to changing the world with their songs and their actions along the way. Ezra and his band are activists and community leaders as much as they are musicians and songwriters. Ezra has spent time living out of a van, farming in Canada, volunteering for the relief effort in Kosovo, and practicing environmental geography in South Africa. Whether as a kitchen hand or carpenter, teacher, athlete, or traveler, Ezra crams it all into the music, always challenging our perspective and often teetering somewhere between the ballsy rocker and sensitive poet. Through their non profit organization, RallySound, AEG helps people organize live music events that inspire communities and encourage grassroots activism.

Friday July 29 Music By Gunsmoke

Gunsmoke has been entertaining audiences at fairs, festivals, clubs, and concerts, with true Country and Western Music for over 20 years. They have performed with musical legends such as, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr., Ray Price, Hank Thompson, Alan Jackson, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Buck Owens, Carl Perkins, and countless other country legends. They have performed for two sitting Presidents of the United States, and been voted six years in a row, Band of The Year by The New York Metropolitan Country Music Association, This Premier Country Band always brings a refreshing entertaining show for all ages to enjoy.

Friday August 12 Music By Group Therapy

Former CBS recording artist Manny DeMagistris of BB Abode Home Decor in Darien & N Salem NY fronts an all star line up of musicians that have played and toured with Hall & Oates, Todd Rundgren, Bette Midler, Jeff Beck and many others. They will ROCK your socks off with a mixture of classic and current world class rock.

Friday August 19 Music By Leslie Costa & The Usual Suspects

Singer-songwriter Leslie Costa fell in love with guitar after her cousin, Chris, let her try his 1969 Fender Stratocaster. She formed her own band in 1990 called Leslie Costa and the Usual Suspects. Her contemporaries include artists like: Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Melissa Etherige, Sheryl Crow, Counting Crowes and Natalie Merchant.

Friday September 2 Music By The Criscuolo Purrone Experience

Experience specializes in impassioned 21st Century postmodern jazz laced with their own distinctive vibe. Local saxophonist Matt Criscuolo joins New York City jazz standouts Tony Campbell on drums, Gerald Canon on bass and Tony Purrone on guitar to make up the band. You won’t want to miss a single free-form note when this group of skilled and ultra creative performers cools off the Darien night.

Friday September 9 Music By Doug Allen

Doug Allen is a Connecticut-based independent singer/songwriter. For the past 10 years, he has performed throughout the northeast, appearing with acts such as Jeffrey Gaines, Edwin McCain, Blue Oyster Cult, The Radiators, NRBQ, GE Smith and John Entwhistle of the Who.
